International Women’s Day Special (E197)

On this episode of “Watching the Hawks” Tabetha Wallace and Manila Chan host a special episode on March 8th’s International Women’s Day! Manila discusses wage inequality with reference to Saru Jayaraman’s book “Forked,” on the unfairness of tipping professions. Naomi Karavani of Redacted Tonight joins Tabetha and Manila for a discussion of Tabetha’s interview with Krystal Muhammed on the women of the Black Panther Party. Manila, Naomi, and Tabetha choose who their female role models are on this very important day. Tabetha Wallace closes out our show on International Women’s Day with a special and touching monologue.
