Euthanasia. Catch 22

Euthanasia isn’t a choice between life and death – it’s death.

Across the West, laws permitting euthanasia are expanding. In Belgium and the Netherlands, assisted dying is now legally available even to children. In Canada, it’s been extended to individuals with mental health conditions.

But not everyone agrees with this shift. Activists and religious groups around the world are sounding the alarm: Is death becoming too easy an answer?

Where do we draw the line between having compassion and devaluing life? And what does life mean in a world where death is offered up as a form of salvation?

Watch “Euthanasia. Catch 22” on RTD website and on RT’s live feed. The time of the broadcast is available on RT’s schedule page.
