Happiness is in your own hands

In recent years, China’s Fujian province has become a major supplier of seaweed and exclusive teas. It’s hard to believe that it had barely any roads as recently as the ‘80s, and farmers had to rely on ancient agricultural methods for growing their crops, living in bitter poverty. These days, thanks to government support for small businesses, peasants and sea farmers alike have access to modern technology and up-to-date infrastructure. This is the first episode of the four-part documentary series, ‘Hello, China’.
