The missile-capable Buyan-M corvette: High seas hellraiser (Combat Approved)
The Buyan-M corvette, or Project 21631, is a shallow-hull warship, equipped with Kalibr cruise missiles. Designed for the Caspian Sea, it has proved sufficiently sea-worthy and manoeuvrable to see action in Syria.
Combat Approved boards the Buyan-M for naval exercises, including firing the Kalibr, the Duet double-barrelled 30 mm weapon system, and the 100mm A-190 artillery system. Combat Approved also visits the design bureau and plant where the Buyan-M is built and finds out about the extra features that give it stealth and versatility for modern warfare.
