Vsevolod Sviridov is a specialist in Russia-Africa relations and in the economic development of African countries, including the energy and mining sectors. Currently, he serves as Deputy Director of the Center for African Studies at the National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE), Russia’s leading think tank on African affairs.
He is also an expert at the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC), an author of more than 20 academic publications addressing various aspects of African development, and a coauthor of the Africa 2025: Prospects and Challenges handbook. Vsevolod holds a BA in African Studies from Saint Petersburg State University and an MA in Russian Foreign Policy from MGIMO University.
