Dmitry Kornev

Dmitry Kornev is a military analyst, investigative journalist, and founder of the defense research website MilitaryRussia.ru. Born in Tomsk in 1969, he graduated from Tomsk State University with a degree in sociology.

Kornev specializes in the study of Soviet and Russian military technology, with a focus on strategic missile systems, submarines, nuclear weapons, missile defense platforms, and deep-sea nuclear-powered stations. He compiled his first private reference guide, Soviet Military Equipment, in 1988, and launched MilitaryRussia.ru in 2009 as an open-source archive and analysis platform.

His work regularly appears on RT and in Izvestia, and he contributes to Business FM Radio and Public Television of Russia. Kornev also serves as editor of the weapons and systems section for the Russian defense journal New Defense Order.
