“The roads are bad, and there needs to be a national program to deal with the issue,” said William Craft Brumfield, professor of Slavic studies at Tulane University and recognized author on Russian architecture.
“The Russian distances are really beyond any comparison, and the population finds itself living certain restricted areas, and there’s an even larger problem – what about the roads between major cities? They’re a disaster,” said Professor Brumfield.
