Moscow-bound plane makes emergency landing at JFK

A plane heading from New York to Moscow had to make an emergency landing minutes after one of the engines was reported on fire.
Shortly after the Delta Boeing 767 took off from John F. Kennedy airport the pilots were told there were emergency calls from observers on land reporting that one of the engines of the plane was on fire. After burning through the fuel the plane landed at 17:49.After landing, firefighters determined the alarm to be false, as no traces of fire were found. No passengers were hurt during the incident.
