Nokia-Siemens to use Russian parts

Russian company Sitronics has signed a partnership agreement with Finnish-German joint venture Nokia-Siemens for the supply of electronic components produced by Sitronics at its site in Zelenograd near Moscow.

The deal, the value of which has not been disclosed, will see Nokia-Siemens source an analogue power system from Micron, a Sitronics subsidiary, for use in network products.

Nokia-Siemens Networks has been supplying infrastructure equipment to Sitronics' sister companies, Mobile TeleSystems and Moscow City Telephone Network since the mid-1990s.
